How much sleep do you need?

The husband and I have very different sleep schedules. Naturally, I would go to bed at 9pm and get up at 5am. The morning is my friend. However, he would rather go to bed at 2am and get up at 10am. So - we compromise and usually go to bed around 11pm and get up at 7am.

I *need* 8 hours of sleep in order to function at all. I'm bipolar and when I don't sleep - I become violently moody and simply cannot carry out simply, day-to-day tasks.

I bet all of you are jealous and want to come hang out with me at finals time, huh? :)

I get about 5-6 on weekdays, and 7-8+ on weekends. Ideally I'd get 7-8 every night, but that means I'd have to quit doing what I'm doing in the evenings and go to bed; a sacrifice I'm usually not willing to make.

I'm a total nite owl and stay up way too late. Lately I've been on a 1:00 AM - 7:00 AM sleep schedule. Luckily I can get up at 7:00 and be at work by 8:00 (I live close to work). My mornings consist only of the tasks essential for me to get to work. I hate mornings.

I need six hours to fire on all cylinders, I can get by with four to five. I wish I could sleep for eight hours, my internal alarm clock just won't let it happen.

Its hard to say how much sleep I need, because I never sleep straight through, esp with the meatball, and it often takes me quite a while to fall asleep. around ten hours of being in bed, minimum, or I'm napping the next day. In my mispent youth, much less. ;)

I would like to get 8-9 hours, but function just fine on 6-7, which is what I get most nights. When I get the 8-9 hours (usually on weekends), I feel much more rested and awake the next day. Btu if I take a nap in the afternoon, I'm shot until the next morning. Naps and I don't go well together.

I need 5-6 to function, and that's what I usually get during the week. I prefer 7-8 and try to get that on the weekends, but that depends upon how late I stay up since my daughter is a natural alarm clock on those days. I cannot sleep more than 8 hours, my muscles get really restless if I try.

My wife will easily sleep 12 hours on the weekends if I let her.
