How much would a map cost?

I had this urge to get a map done, and silly me, I asked and got slammed, so I'm now trying to figure out the best way to handle it.

I want to turn a map of Europe that has been tweaked into your ot maps.

It will be colorful and 2d.

What's a good ballpark figure for pricing?

What does "ot maps" mean? Is this something that could be accomplished by AI? A lot of those services are only like $10 per month

Different artists will charge different rates based on their particular skill set and availability (making maps takes time). I do not know what their current availability is like, but I would ask Alyssa Faden or Dyson Logos if something like this is in their wheelhouse and what they would charge for it (note that both of these map makers are professionals and in high demand, but produce beautiful maps). Note that the maps currently on the front page of Dyson's blog were created for my own Six-Hack RPG.

Dyson has a Facebook group full of amateur and professional mapmakers. I'd recommend asking in there as well.

In the early days of the pandemic I commissioned a battlemap that I think cost $80.

A few years ago I was quoted a figure of ~$200 for a map of 1960s Berlin with certain places I wanted noted. I don't think either estimate is too high.
