How often are you visiting the WoTC boards?

Umm. I think I stopped going there around 2005/6 when I saw the note that any post concerning the topic of katanas would be automatically closed and deleted by a mod.

Not that I am some big proponent of the katana mind you. Just that I figured any community that has to do such a thing to keep the peace around the boards to keep it pleasent probably isn't someplace thats going to be worthwhile for me to visit.

I actually only recently started going there with any regularity. The Eberron boards sometimes have interesting nuggets, and the character optimization boards are nifty from a gearhead angle.

ENWorld's still home though. :)

The only time I end up on the WotC boards is when I see someone here at ENWorld posting about something interesting over there. I still drop by the main WotC page every day just to see if anything 3.5 related is available...and for the minis previews. That's about it.

Before 4e about once a week, after 4e every day for about 2 months, since then about once a month just to check to see if anyone PMed me which a few do.

Used to go daily. More recently, I've checked in to the Realms and Char Op forums about once a week. Since they re-arranged the site and I don't see those forums any more, I've just dropped the site completely. It's really got nothing for me anymore.

Yeah - they sorta completely messed up the CharOp boards over there (Though they are still there you have to look for them) - also dropped Autumn as the VCL for the CharOp boards too. Cause she had one post of minor disagreement with GamerZero about the reorg of the boards in regards to the CharOp boards. So now... she's been Zero'd too.

I used to go there for all of the different Original Adventures, Cliffhangers, and Random Encounters. Since I cannot find anything since their reorganization, I have not bothered to go over there. I have not been to their boards in five years or more. And Gleemax, I still remember that booger abortion color scheme, though haven't been back since.

I find the quality of posters and information to be superior both here and at sites like dragonfoot. The WOTC site has little value to me now; I'd rather have print Dungeon & Dragon.

Since the announcement of 4E, my interest in the WoTC boards has dropped like a stone. It wasn't an intentional decision mind you. I just find that I am no longer interested in them. And I used to visit them once or twice a day in the past. Has anyone else seen their interest fall off?

Same here. It's pretty much nothing but rabid 4E fanboys with heavy-handed, one-sided moderation, so I have no interest in going there.

I go to the website about once a week. I wrote the message boards off years ago. I tried getting involved again about two years ago, because I thought attitudes and such had changed for the better. I was wrong.

Considering how the 4E/3E thing is going here, I definitely wouldn't bother with the WOTC message boards.
