How often do you see these fighter archetypes at the table?

5e is going to be four years old soon, so I'm guessing most people have played at least several campaigns by now so we have a decent sample size (this is just an informal survey however, not conclusive or scientific in any way.)

What I'm wondering is, when people play a 5e fighter, how often do they go for the following options/builds/styles/archetypes:
1) an archer fighter, focusing on ranged combat
2) an agile/mobile fighter, with dueling or two-weapon fighting
3) a heavy weapon fighter focusing on dealing the most damage
4) a reach/polearm fighter, using pikes, glaives etc.
5) a classic "sword & board" fighter, focusing on armor and defense

This is either characters you have played or trends you've noticed in your group or AL or whatever.

Seen all of them maybe once each the archer was Handcrossbow or build. Sword and board was Dex based battlemaster.

Sword an board was roughly 2 and 5. Gave attacks to the rogue.

Curiously, given that they are supposed to be the most popular class, I haven't seen many fighters. My groups seem to favour paladins for sword&board, rangers for archery, and scrappy rogues.

Probably seeing more Paladins, seen 2 avenger 3 green and the oath of devotion once.

Power level might matter as well. Until level 11 the fighter is not that competitive with the other warriors (Battlemaster maybe party dependent).

Hunter Rangers are more or less best archer to level 11 as well maybe beyond.

TWF is underpowered.

I haven't played many pure fighters, I usually play a warlock or a mix of warlock and something else.

I do have a fighter (eldritch knight) that uses hand crossbows with Archery style and the "Crossbow Expert + Sharpshooter" combo - he's very loosely based on Darryl Dixon from the Walking Dead.

I have a gnome fighter who uses a rapier with the dueling style and a shield, but he's only lvl 3 so far. I don't play him much.

I have a character that uses a Halberd with the Polearm Master + Sentinal feat, but she's a Hexblade/Pact of the Blade warlock.

I have a couple of Heavy Weapon users who are Fighter/Warlock mixes (one is Ftr 1/Warlock10, the other is Fighter 8/Warlock 7). Both use Great Weapon Fighting style and Great Weapon Master.

I have a paladin/warlock mix that uses the Defense fighting style with heavy armor and a shield (currently at AC 26, 28 when hasted). He uses a quarterstaff in one hand with Polearm Master and Warcaster to do some Booming Blade shenanigans.

Not much, but a bit more frequently with the Arcane Archer

2) an agile/mobile fighter, with dueling or two-weapon fighting
Never, unless as a Rogue dipping into Fighter.

3) a heavy weapon fighter focusing on dealing the most damage
Most often Fighter I see.

4) a reach/polearm fighter, using pikes, glaives etc.
Only if I'm playing a Fighter do I see this.

5) a classic "sword & board" fighter, focusing on armor and defense
Second most often.

In my opinion, TWF is currently only worth it for rogues and some paladin builds.

For rogues, it gives a second opportunity for their sneak attack if their first attack misses, and for paladins, it gives and extra smite opportunity.

But if you use feats, for rogues Crossbow Expert with a hand crossbow is probably better, and for paladins Polearm Master is probably better.

Currently, I only have one character who uses TWF, and that's a swashbuckler. Even then, he doesn't have the style or the feat - he just draws a second short sword after few rounds if he doesn't have anything better to do with his bonus action than make a second attack.

Out of 21 PC’s a grand total of 2 fighters (both champions).

One a duel wielder (until she got a magical spear in Barovia)

One with no weapons (tavern brawler)

Barbs and Pally's appear more (3/3)
