How on earth could you possibly have fun with a jellyfish?

how many threads have been from Meta now?

Dunno.

This is the second [hivemind] to head north to General Discussion, and from the reaction to the first one it's not something that happens every day.

As an aside, there was one character in a game I played who had a preternatural love for octopuss... he seemed to have a lot of fun ^^

There was an elven ranger in our Warhammer Fantasy game that got eaten by a bog octopus. In 2e, the same player had an elven ranger that got eaten by undead ghouls.

You'd think she'd catch on when the DM says he hates elves.;)

Or rangers.

In my undersea game, I have a merfolk-like race, the Uphyra, whose lower halves are those of jellyfish. Also, the teratomorph (3e MM2) is one jellyfish you don't want to shake a stick at. :D

The Oozemaster PrC might also apply to undersea jellies and oozes.

As far as a main course is concerned, I always thought that jellyfish tasted not unlike a rubber band.

Do some research on the man-o-war, jellyfish lakes, or phosphorescent jellyfish, and you'll find lots of inspiring material.

Naw, he's okay with rangers. It's just the "pointy-eared (gits)" he doesn't like. Gits isn't what he says, but I fear the Purse of Eric's Granny too much to repeat what he really says about him.

Tally Ho, back off topic we go!
