None of the above: immediately or later, depending on how easily I can see translating our campaign over.

I like most of the changes, but I've never felt so invested in a game as I am in 3e/3.5. Honestly, I'm just not ready no matter how much better it is. I'm really disappointed that it seems that backwards compatability will not be all that high.

I'll probably nab the SRD and incorporate a few choice bits as house rules and keep on playing 3e/3.5 for the foreseeable future, with no doubt a switch being made... sometime.

Odd, I know. I actually like what I've seen, but like I say; my investment in 3e/3.5 is too heavy for me to be excited about changing at this point, even so.

No earlier than late 2009, when the current 3.5 campaign will come to a planned end.

Even then, my group is largely happy to stay with 3.5 and so it may slip to 2010, or never.

I love trying new systems but I still haven't seen much of anything in 4E that really impresses me as being either an innovative mechanic or an impressive gaming element. Of course I found 3E easy to play, adaptable, and simple to use on the fly. Apparently I'm both in a minority amongst 3E players and not part of 4E's target market.

I have a sneaking feeling I will be running 3.5 and 4.0 concurrently. I am thinking of running all LFR stuff when it begins as a home game, and then continue to play in my friends 3.5 game, and maintain my 3.5 ptolus campaign (or convert it if 4.0 rocks)

I would probably switch AFTER the community has had some time to bang away on the rules and discuss INTELLIGENTLY the problems that the rules have (creature balance, viability and playstyle at all the levels, magic item balance, unclear rules, XP balance in encounters, etc.). Endless rants about why certain things were or weren't included will be ignored.

As such, I didn't vote :) Sometime after as soon as it's out and before the market is flooded with supplements.

Interesting. I have almost the exact opposite point of view. I'm planning to switch immediately, so that I can be PART of the community banging away on the rules, discussing the problems, and coming up with house rules. :)
