How to be "Bad to the Bow" ?!?!?

as an archer your biggest problems are going to be DR creatures and people sundering your bow.

I would put boots of Str/Spring on your list, and think about getting shot on the run. If you get cornered by anyone with a magical greatsword (with or without sunder feat) you can kiss your magic bow goodbye.

always have a backup bow, don't neglect your hand to hand combat abilities (make sure to have longsword, shield, and light weapon as backups).

horde your magic arrows for creatures with DR.

Hmm, shield spells come into play rather often. And they give cover.

No they don't. At least, not after the errata. Nowadays they don't give Cover, but Cover Bonus to AC. So it's not actual cover.

Does anyone actually know where this errata is printed? I have never seen it anywhere, but heard of it on various occasions. We use the same errata, too.

there is about 8 billion different 'official' errata for the shield spell. some of them directly contradict others.

basically no one knows what the frag is going on with that spell.

personally, we say it gives a shield armor bonus, and doesn't negate AoO.
