How to pump saves at high levels?

Question said:
The tough part is finding PRCs that offer good will saves, spellcasting progressions and full BAB.

In focusing on BAB and spellcasting progression i inevitably lost out on will saves.

I think a lot of the time you just have to take a hit on BAB. By the time you're level 20, +18 or +20 rarely matters since your modifiers are almost the same and ACs aren't generally that high. Where it does matter is a reduction of BAB too soon so you lose the extra attack, but by that time you're hasted or wearing Boots of Speed so it's not so significant. Find prestige classes that offer full spellcasting progression at the cost of a BAB hit, and you'll have a lot more options.

I concur. There are a lot of magical ways to up "to hit".

A BAB of 16 or so at 20th level is sufficient for an arcane gish.

I actually consider [Mass Convistion, extended] kind of broken at high levels.. A +6 bonus on all saves, to everyone in the party, for most of the day, and it only costs a single 3rd level spell slot?
4th level, 'cause it's extended. :p

It lasts for 10 minutes per level, so one spell can't be all day.

Solution?

Memorize more of the same spell.

I took eldrict knight to full becasue its the only class with near full spellcasting progression and full BAB. All the other fighter/mage PRCs are half spellcasting progression.

Let me reiterate my message. The point is to tweak the build so that you can get away with taking multiple classes. Whether it is or is not worth it to lose BAB or casting to get astronomically high saves is a decision you must make.

As you acknowledged, if you simply lose a bit of casting, you can boost your saves a lot. There's nothing in the charter for "figher mage" that says "full casting." If you fancy yourself more mage than fighter, then why not lose a bit of BAB? You're not going to be alive long enough to take full advantage of your BAB if you don't get your saves up, anyhow. :D
