The program I'm working on works as follows:

* You type in the URL of the page you wish to convert
* It goes through all the posts on the page, and creates the BBCode in a text box, which you can then copy/paste into EN World.

It's been slightly delayed by my Weekend of Gaming(tm), but I'll be working on it today and tomorrow - hope to have something up in a few hours. It'll only work on Windows machines, apologies, and will be very rough and ready, but I hope it'll be of use.

Cheers!

Actually they use both HTML and BB Code. Older posts should be in all BB Code, like those transferred from the old forums, but newer one could have HTML in them.

How odd. There's a reason modern forum software moved away form allowing HTML a decade ago, and why BB code became the internet default for messageboards. HTML is vulnerable; allowing HTML allows exploits from clever but malicious people.

Wow. That sounds incredible, Merric. Please keep me in the loop - it sounds like something which needs to be widely known.

Right... it's getting there. I'll post a test of how it converts it to see what I still need to do...

Cheers!
