How would you build these characters?

I picked Erathis for deity... feels perfect the Tarakian is intended Defender/Avenger of civilization just seems perfect form.

Galen was an interesting build, but a lot of fun. I figure he's the kind of hero that really just wants to do good, even if he's not all that good at it. So, I went with a good hybrid combination, but gave him feats that would suit his character more than said classes. The character is playable, but interesting in his use of his abilities; much like I would imagine Galen to be. An Important Note about this character, I treated his Staff of Resilience as the same item as his spear. Should he be disarmed, he loses the benefit of both. This was the most within-the-rules way I could portray his use of the spear and his borrowed power.[sblock=Galen Bradwarden]====== Created Using Wizards of the Coast D&D Character Builder ======

Statting up Tao from Beastmaster might be kind of difficult. He doesn't really fit into any player classes. He's an herbalist/healer type, so maybe shaman or druid at a stretch.

Dar, on the other hand, could be a Fighter/Ranger or a Barbarian/Ranger or something...

Not so heroic characters can still be done ;p a good portion of it is flavor.

Does your heroic non combatant character watch their allies backs, cheer them on (healing), points out openings (maybe even accidentally) and becomes a target for the bad guys or makes ineffectual attacks that gives their allies opportunities? that all can be created via the Warlord class...

Where as Herbalist/Healer might mean you have nature and ritualist / alchemist capability specifically remove affliction/remove disease

That said I am not a big Beastmaster fan so Tao might as well be some form of philosophy to me.

I think the lady from Lady hawke is a Mogli build Ranger | Warlord (beastmaster where the wolf companion makes all the melee attacks. The knight might be a straight up fighter.(though to let the Lady Hawke have her place I might go with a bit of arcanery (bardic probably) - there relationship is rather like a familiar and master (Gallant Hawk - will work well with a fighter)

I have done Taarna up to level 16 but the order of feats is nonsensical at the moment.(I havent found an adequate definition of the daily she died performing giving her something like a bloodclaw divine boon is my first thought)

The two clerics in that story are ritualists and really not much more. I would build both villain and the companion to the heros as well either minion class or non-statted.

From Ladyhawke I am a bit annoyed with mouse being pretty close to a pacifist. He might have fatigued and knocked out a few minions and apologized when his poor intimidation move cut a villain... definitely a thief but... umm do I have to make him a warlord? his cheering up both the other heros is actually a a very dominant feature of the character and the story line. There curse wears on them in a way very like losing healing surges. I suppose I could do the frodo trick and mix warlord and rogue... but emphasize some warlord non-attacks and the rogue skills.

The movie was full of him doing skill challenges that is for sure. His battle scenes even felt like him engaging in a skill challenge to escape (hey I dont have any companion heros to hide behind or warn or any of those things ... I am getting out of dodge)

this could work
