How would you RP a Gnome Conquest Paladin?

Definitely go with platemail and a rapier, and style him after a Spanish Conquistador - Ral Partha actually put out a troop of Dwarvish Conquistadors back in the day, so if you could dig up one of them you could have the perfect mini for him....

Lord of the Underhill. A grizzled gnome that prowls caves and “cleanses” the savage races, imposing his will to ensure his people rule the caverns and tunnels beneath your feet. He cares nothing for the surface, but adventures there with his party to scout for threats to his people.

I dunno, with a sqeaky high pitched voice eventually ? :)

Naming his weapon kneeslasher?

Asking his comrades how the air is up there every minute or so?

:)

I don't have any problems with gnome paladins. Stat wise they are almost as powerful as other races and are able to hold their own. So yeah I encourage my players not to be afraid of preceived racial roles. I'd welcome cannibal* halflings or gnome paladins any day.

Two pages of comments and no has mentioned Napoleon?

Actually, I would probably binge watch a couple of episodes of Farscape, and base the conquest gnome off of Dominar Rygel XVI.

How do you get the enemies to take him seriously?

Obviously, race doesn't matter mechanically...

I'm trying to imagine this little 3ft tall thing trying to strike fear in the hearts of enemies and the closest thing I can come up with is Chucky! ;)

And I love the irony of a Conquest Kobold using Grovel, Cower, and Beg one minute and the scaring everybody the next.
