HQ: The 'Ready Lounge'

"Great! The last time I came here, all the people were kind of boring and just stood there and wouldn't dance. Who wants to luau? We could also try limbo, although I guess that isn't perfectly thematic," a limbo stick appears as she says this, with small flickering torches atop the two end poles, I'm still getting used to all the wonderful cultures I meet here at the United Nations."

Handsome glances over at the new arrivals as the monkey and the woman announce their arrival. His attention seems to have been drawn far more to Sierra than the sudden appearance of a walking, talking simian.

He quickly rises from his seat and slides in her direction.

"Hello Sierra, I'm Aaron, but you can call me Handsome"

He winks and smirks slightly at his self-chosen codename.

"I never limboed, but put me down for a dance."

"Nah, I think I'll just call you Aaron, since we're colleagues, and you can just call me Sierra, my first name" she smiles slightly, "I'm glad that someone else likes to dance. I'm not terribly great at it, myself, but that doesn't mean it isn't fun!"

Handsome claps a hand to his forehead, throws one high towards the heavens and clasps a pair to his heart.

"Alas! You wound me!"

He leans up against a table and grins at the group, mock theatrics forgotten.

"Still, if we are to dance, we must have the music, yes? Will you be providing that as well?"

"Well, last time I called in an orchestra to help play karaoke tunes, but this time, some island jams would hit the spot," Sierra nods and a small band of vaguely islander-looking folk dressed in the same luau outfits appears, with bongo drums, a marimba, a tambora, and other instruments to play some tunes and lay down some island beats.

Kid Dino watches on in amazement as the Ready Louge is transformed into a tropical resort. He tosses his history textbook onto the (newly changed) wicker table and smiles wide when he notices that his Pepsi is now in a fancy glass with a colorful umbrella sticking out of it.

Dog ate my homework won't work, he thinks to himself, but my tutor is going to have to hear a whole list of new excuses for why it isn't done this year...

"I'm Kid Dino," he announces to all the newer folks. "Or you can call me Chip. I'm one of the older members of the Resolutes. Well, probably the youngest. But I'm one of the first to have signed on. Me and Gun Monkey."

Titan said:
"Hey everyone. John's my name. I go by Titan.", the big blond man says before grabbing another brew. Walking over to Chip he asks, "Watcha studying?"

"Oh, just history," Chip says. "American. Pretty boring stuff. It sucks that we barely study cool things like science and paleontology."

"American history? That's fascinating stuff--I never do remember as much as I probably should, though. I do remember that the legendary heroes of the Revolutionary Age fought against the British back in the eighteenth century, though. Can I take a look at that some time?"

Well, one of these days you'll be in that book. Weren't you on the first mission?

"Alright. Time to limbo. No cheating with that tail, Gun Monkey", Titan says warming to the idea of having a large talking chimp in the room.

Titan tries the limbo, but can't get real low, given his height and lack of dexterity. He is enjoying the music though, and cracks another cold one. " Can I request Bob Marley and the Wailers?", he says to Sierra.

Handsome shoots Sierra a worried look as she announces an interest in the Revolutionary War, but luckily the cabana scene is not immediately dissolved into a historical battlefield. He cheers on Titan's limbo attempt from the sidelines for a while.

"I don't know what Bob Marley and the Wailers is, but I will in a moment," Sierra closes her eyes, and the island fades away for an eyeblink, only to return shortly thereafter, "Sorry--couldn't keep up two things at once. Okay, I've got the song. Sounds great!" the band starts playing Titan's song for him.
