Really my only complaint about the show is that I preferred Bear McCreary's soundtrack in season 1. Otherwise, this show is solid fun.

Oh, and well yeah, I'd like to know what happened to the cliffhanger at the end of season 1, with him calling 'the old man.' That got dropped hard.

Same here.

I (kinda) hope they do a semi-flashback episode dealing with the aftermath of Winston's kidnapping and the "Old Man" showing up.

Even so, the new season is living up. I've gotten to like Ilsa and Ames better, the more we've actually gotten to know them.

I'm liking Ames and Miss Pucci a lot more as things go on as well. I think the actresses hired for the parts are doing a very good job.

Now that I finally saw all of Season 1 on Netflix, I understand how radically the show has changed since the first season -- and not just the loss of the awesome McCreary scoring (and theme song??). It's almost 50% a different show now ... I just happen to like both shows.

This pair of episodes was pretty enjoyable, and I'm looking forward to getting 2 episodes next Wednesday as well. Getting to see Maria interact with more people than just Chance was good, as last time she was only griped about.

The second episode was a bit predictable, but at least there was a little character development of Ilsa. The storyline back at the office with Winston and Guerrero (and Ames) having to solve a problem without Chance was far more enjoyable.

I'm enjoying this show quite a bit.

So if they'd hire McCreary back (although he's no longer available) ... we'd all basically be cool with this show, right? ;)
Yes. What is Bear doing now? Do I watch that show already?

Edit: Just as I wrote this and saved the post, my iTunes play list jumped to "Motorcycle Escape" from the Human Target soundtrack (by Bear McCreary).
Admittedly, not having it be something of Bear is currently difficult due to the playlist.

I spent an hour on Bear's blog last night. Good stuff. I bought his Human Target soundtrack CD set, and I really want to get the Caprica soundtrack now.

I believe Bear's doing The Cape's soundtrack.
