I'm guessing that the fall didn't actually do that much damage. His sword seems to have come through with no issues, sinking into the ground...so it likely wasn't much more than 40-ish points. (Assuming objects take half damage, and the sword's made out of starmetal, which = adamantine, IIRC) At their level, 40ish points really isn't that much damage.

Of course, resurrection is pretty common in the world; if you recall the backstory collection, Roy's dad was ressed, oh, a good half dozen times.

Wow. Didn't see that coming. Now I wonder how many other PCs are going to have 'x eyes' before this battle is over.

Lately, Rich is doing a real good job of going against expectations. Everyone expected the wayward arrow to get someone. Everyone expected Roy's talisman to save him.

Didn't happen.

Does this have something to do with the kobold oracle...?
Yes, exactly; Belkar asked the oracle if he will cause the death of Roy, Vaarsuvius, Miko, or Windstriker, and it answered, "Yes" (not specifying which one).

It's only a shame that the Sapphire order will have a Cleric to bring him back instead of a Druid. Reincarnation is endless fun. :D

So does anyone think having the planet pounded through the back of his thick skull will finally convince Roy to start listening to NPCs he's not related to?
