Which only bodes ill for places like New Orleans which has already flooded in spots from "seepage" thru the hastily patched levees. From the pics I saw on FOX NEWS, it looked more like a breach than mere "seepage" which is what the Army Corps of Engineers are calling it.

At least it's not going to be as bad, wind-wise. But the potential for heavy flooding still remains. Even far inland where it's expected to "stall out" and really dump rainfall.
 

Still wondering...

The eyewall passed just east of my hometown, Beaumont Texas. My family and I are up in Fort Worth out of harm's way.

Still waiting to hear about the damage.

my wife is in Beaumont now. there is a lot of relief going on there and Tyler coordinating out of Huntsville.
