This thread scares me. It made me do an RPG chronology for myself. The early years go something like this:
- 7th grade - D&D
- 8th grade - D&D, Top Secret, Gamaworld
- HS Frosh - D&D, Gamaworld, Top Secret, Boot Hill, Metamorphosis Alpha
- HS Soph - D&D, TFT, Call of Cthulhu, Traveller
- HS Junior - Traveller, CoC
- College - Traveller, Champions, CoC
- College - Champions, Justice Inc, Coc
- College - Champions, CoC
- College - Champions, CoC, RuneQuest
- College - Champions, CoC, D&D
- Now - Champions, CoC, Paranoia, Ars Magica, Over the Edge, Big Eyes Small Mouth, and way too many others... oh, and 3e...
To tie it back to the the thread, I guess that if I had not started with a TSR product, then I would have started with Call of Cthulhu and Traveller, but I still would have become a Hero Games freak...
