I accidentally reported my own post as spam and now my post count is 0

I was trying to report a spam thread that appeared over night. I accidentally reported my own post instead. When I did this, I first got a message saying that I had been banned, with a ban lift date of "never." Several minutes later, I was able to start reading and posting again, but my post count was set to zero, and I couldn't send a private message because of not having 5 posts.

Can this be fixed?

Gah. No.

I spotted that it was your post (and account) which was spam banned and immediately unbanned you, but the spam ban tool is a bit of a nuke from orbit - it also deletes everything the account ever posted.

I'm really sorry. There's no way to get them back.

That's highlighted a weakness with the spam banning tool, though. It should probably be made not to work on accounts with a lot of posts. I'm so sorry you were the person whose misfortunes made that apparent. We definitely need some more robust error checking on the spam bans.
