If I attack a flat-footed person with a brilliant energy weapon what do they get? Size and NAC? Is that it?

You get what you would get when attacking someone flat footed with a touch attack....

Start with flat-footed. Not all classes lose their dex bonus, so here there is the possibility of losing dex bonus to AC.

Next, brilliant energy ignores armor bonuses. IMO, I think it *should* negate natural armor also, but I don't think it does.

So, to conclude, your target gets:

Normal AC - Dex (if no uncanny dodge) - Armor (if wearing armor) - Natural Armor (if you play it my way)

From "Brilliant Energy"
A brilliant energy weapon ignores nonliving matter. Armor and enhancement AC bonuses do not count against it because the weapon passes through armor. (Dexterity, deflection, dodge, natural armor, and other such bonuses still apply. emphasis mine.

Right in the rules it says that Nat. Armor does factor in for the creature. Otherwise, I agree with everyone above.

heh. it will happen. i play a high level rogue that fights with a brilliant energy weapon in one hand, speed weapon in the other.

all i have to say is, natural armor SUCKS. i still dont fight dragons.

Illuminae - I'm fully aware that a monk's Wisdom bonus applies, but it's still not named. I gave all of the named bonuses (save cover, which I forgot) that are added to AC in this situation.
