I come bearing gifts

Sorry, I missed the set vs a charge in the PHB when I was reconstructing my work (I lost it), the longspear isn't that bad. I missed a half point on it point on it. Anyway some of these abilities work together reallt well, like set vs a charge and reach gvinig you an attack of oppertunity. So its where the work i did breaks down.

I noticed that you missed the set vs. charge.

I did an analysis of your point buy, and I didn't find it to work nearly as well as advertised. Here are the weapons that don't match up, just on page 98. The numbers are (actual value) / (points allowed).
Dagger: 2/1
Punching dagger: 2/1
Club: 2/3
Halfspear: 3.5/3
Shortspear: 4.5/5
Light crossbow: 4/2
Dart: 1/2
Sling: 1/2
Heavy crossbow: 5/3
Javelin: 2/3
Throwing axe: 2/3
Light hammer: 1/3
Sap: 2/3
Heavy lance: 4.5/4
Trident: 3.5/4
Glaive: 5.5/6
Greatclub: 4/6
Longspear: 5/6
 

Dire Longsword (Exotic)
Damage 1d8, Crit 18-20/x3, Melee, Slashing, Medium

Dire Greatsword (Exotic)
Damage 2d6, Crit 19-20/x3, Melee, Slashing, Large

Make them a tad heavier than their counterparts, and I'd love one.

I think these are balanced fine. The Dire Longsword basically becomes a onehanded scythe. Seems fine to me.


I like the discordant ability but have some concerns about it. I would recommend making only the first attack each round be continuous damage. Otherwise when your 10th level fighers are doing 35 points around on average, it becomes tooooo good. I could be wrong on this but you might want play this one alot.

NOw that I think about it, how often does the 10th level fighter get to engage the 10th level mage? Not to often in my experience. THis would be a cool enchantment for a missile weapon. Maybe the +3 is to high. God am I wishy washy.
