Well, yes, but the branding Safeway is regional: go a few hours South, and it called Vons. Go to Wisconsin or Ohio, and I'm not sure if theybhave a sister store...?

Not particularly relevant,I suppose, but we used to have when I was a kid. But they're all long gone, as afaik, and became many years ago. I think most are now all pushed out, too.

OK, looks like it's currently a subsidiary of Albertson's, which is being acquired by Krogers. The More You Know.

I was calling it regional just because my experience is that people outside of Northerm California and the Pacific Northwest don't recognize the name.

Safeway is also one of the dominant chains on the east coast. Kroger's has to buy them to beat them in the Midatlantic region.

We have Safeway stores in western Canada, too. Never seen any RPG books on the magazine racks, though.

The book itself doesn't seem to be put into any CC or aoGL itself at all, it just cites the CC SRD in the intro, and there is no OGL page.

Safeway is the biggest grocery chain in the US, under its own name, at least that is not also other things (eg Walmart).
