It's on my radar now: this is delightful, amd should prove useful.I've got all of Ashworth's "Gamemaster" line. Though not lavishly illustrated (with the exception of the Dragon one), they are excellent books. I use the NPC book all the time.
Henceforth, the major armorsmithing monopoly in my campaign worlds shall be called "Safeway."Wikipedia says Safeway (qua Safeway) operates in 17 States.
Kind of missing the point: there was a 100 page D&D supplement for sale in the grocery store. That's freaking wild, guys.
I suspect being in the magazine distribution channels, rather than just the game trade ones, is going to make these folks a lot of money. It'd be interesting to hear from them how they did it and how it's worked out for them. One of my players noted the same book in a Whole Foods recently.
Our local Michael's also has a lot of fun plastic fantasy figurines, too, although they're far too large to serve as miniatures.I've seen books like that at Michael's. It gave me something to look at while my wife is looking at crafts.
