I got Faiths & Pantheons!

They're just being pansies because if Orcus was ever made a god by D&Dmg rules, people (and I imagine Monte Cook) would be upset. Still I think your version of Orcus will be fine by me Scott. Btw, it IS the 13th when RA3 comes out right?

Actually- I find it odd they made a few demon lords into gods (especially in FR). I figured the reason WotC steered clear of saying demons and devils were gods in DDG and DotF and the MotP (and about anywhere else it has ever been mentioned) was because it would open up a whole new era of "D&D is the work of the Devil! People that play it worship demons and devils!"

But- doing it in the Realms surprised me. I mean, I know it is quite popular and all, and a lot of peeps (meaning kids and parents) will probably see it. But ah well- at least they finally did something right for the Realms I guess. :) Still don't like them though. :) :)

Heh, I picked up the Star Wars revised edition, the Stronghold Builders Guidebook, and Faiths & Pantheons today... I can tell just by flipping through them that they're all pretty good books... I was torn between buying the F&P and the SBG, so I just bought both... I can say that I think the PrCls in the F&P look pretty cool. Other then that I cant tell yall much, as I haven't looked at them too much...

Editted four dronken eras is speelling

Ah come on Scott. Not like I was sending subliminal messages
*BUY TOME OF HORRORS!* or anything. ;) *BUY TOME OF HORRORS!*

Besides I was just curious about RA *RAPPEN ATHUK KILLS!!* especially since it had Orcus on the cover *ORCUS RULES! BUY TOME OF HORRORS!*

;)

Anyway I do agree it's weird but maybe they aren't afraid of the moral right since they are *BUY RAPPEN ATHUK 3! DUNGEON OF GRAVES RULES* more concerned about arabic stuff and terrorism. Just my guess as to why WotC has taken this hard line stance. Or maybe because Ozzy Osbourne is one of the best draws on TV! ;)
*BUY TOME OF HORRORS!*

One thing I continue to fail to understand is why the Great Mother is CE and yet her followers, beholders, are predominately LE? By the rules they cannot choose her as a patron!

I thought that was strange too. The MM says they're "Usually lawful evil" and that means that they are LE "over 50% of the time". So, I dunno....maybe they're not really religious creatures? It might just be errata too. Like when they mistakenly refer to Mielikki as Elhonna (only happens once though), and list Mystra's Wizard hit dice as (Ftr).

... and in the Dungeon magazine where Orcus was written up.

Let's keep this thread for discussion of F&P, not FR-bashing.

Dungeon Magazine isn't canon. Bah if you want Regdar to start bashing, Regdar will be more then willing, Regdar didn't bash your precious Forgotten Realms. And if making a comment about a difference in established works is bashing, you are mistaken.

They established in other canon works that Demons aren't and shouldn't be gods, then change it for the cash cow. Regdar finds that.. quaint.

Demons can't be worshipped in Greyhawk

Demons can be worshipped in Forgotten Realms.

it's just a difference in campaign settings. Not big bad WotC out to steal your toys or anything. Just one of those little things that make these two settings different.

What was the big deal again?
