Wow, that means I'm at least twice your age. Several of my players are probably older than your parents.

It occurs to me to ask where you got a baseball size d20. I've got a couple just a bit bigger than a golf ball but I've never seen one that big (and Iwant it).

I picked one of these up at the local store the other day. Just itching to use it at tomorrow's game (where I start DMing my players through Kalamar).

I started using jumbo dice -which are about 1.5 inches big- a year or two back.

It's great to give yourself that 'I could care less what the roll is, I'm here for the role.' feeling.

The baseball sized d20 will be great for that 'all rolls are open and on the table in this game' mood - there's no way I'll be able to fudge the result when the die itself could kill the players.

(again), in french d20 is pronounced "day-vain" (as in vain, only the n is silent. It is the same with d6 (day-sis). Only, a die in french is pronounced EXACTLY the same as the letter D ("day").

So, for us, it is d20, not "dee-twenny", and it sounds so natural. When we talk with non-gamers, we cannot just say "roll a die", it always gets out as "roll a d6".

I didn't get most of the pronounciation but you're not alone in calling it a d6 everywhere you go. I think we all do that.

Yep, that looks like mine 'cept it's black. I don't actually use it much, though -- the clatter it makes on a table is really horrendous.
