I guess I should have mentioned I'm not undead. I happen to love the sun, but just don't like being directly under it or around it without a modicum of shade. AZ summers can be brutal.

I seriously hope we move to NC after my dad retires.

Heat index. Makes it feel hotter than the actual temp. It's more of a wet heat than where you are. Not as bad as tropical heat but bad enough.
Worse than heat-heat? Whats the temp there right now?

Think of it like Arizona heat, mid-summer, but the air is more like a sauna than an oven. Alabama has humidity like that too, but we haven't hit the worst of ours, this year. Surprisingly--and thankfully--cool so far. :)
About 19 years ago, some friends and I went on a road trip to Sequoia National Park, and visited some friends of theirs in either Pheonix or Tuscon(sp?), and they had their yards just full of water. It was the day after irrigation day. Do they do that in Scottsdale, too, Frukathka?

Phoenix, Tucson. I had to look it up, but yeah, irrigation days are still observed.
