I have both the Dragonlance CS and the Age of Mortals Campaign book. Ask away!

Well talinthas, you certainly own more DL stuff than I do, but expect some competition from me for the claim of ENWorld's #1 Dragonlance 3.5 pimper! ;)

Age of Mortals gives additional rules for allowing the generalist wizards to take the Wizard of Hish Sorcery prestige class.

Well Tal, you may yet earn a place among the immortals...but only the chosen FEW get their own NPC. (And I think Ash may yet get that. ;) )

Kilamanjaro, no. Both are LA +1, though.

Olive, yes. A white robe must be an abjurer or a diviner, a red must be an illusionist or a transmuter, and a black must be an enchanter or a necromancer.

Is 3.5 fully integrated into the new campaign world? I had expected with the close release dates that it would not have been possible to have DL follow the 3.5 rules closely due to the need to start on it long before 3.5 was finalized

The setting is 3.5 compatable. It was made so through the fine development team at WotC, who knew about the change over to 3.5 long before we did, so once we were through, they updated it for us. That said, there are a few "relics" from 3.0 lurking in those pages that missed the development team's sharp eyes: such as the Green Dragon Overlord, Beryllinthranox having a DR 30/+4 instead of 30/Epic ;)

Can only specialists take it now?

According to the DLCS only specialists may become WoHS, but from what I understand the rule is simply not giving generalists the benefit of the specialization aspects of the WoHS PrC.
