Eeeeeexcellent

Have the WP/VP, Armor, and Defence mechanics been changed from SpyCraft 1.0? If so, how?
Slightly. In the first edition if you wore armor it cancelled your class bonus to defense. This was modeling the movie-logic of most characters not wearing armor even if it might make sense to do so in real life. We wanted armor use to be rare (with only soldiers really favoring it). In 2.0 we've backed away from that by having armor apply a modest penalty to your defense (more as the armor gets heavier/bulkier). Wearing armor is just generally a better proposition in 2.0, plus it's easier to acquire

How have the mechanics been streamlined? When i look at my pile of SpyCraft/SFA/Stargate books i think it's Shadowrun all over again, great game, but with every supplement the mechanics became more complex. In other words, have the Core mechanics been centralized in the core book?
Oh yes. Massive collation, clean up, centralization, and simplification going on here. And even better, I have the mechanics chapter of the first supliment done and there are no massive new subsystems in it

Hope this helps,
