I have the PHII...

It probably has something to do with the fact that Warmages have 1/2 BAB, while Duskblades have full BAB. And look at all those spells you can cast a day! It ain't gimped like the Ranger or the Paladin is.

Yeah all five levels. :p Sorry but I think cutting them off at 5 is wrong. 8 seems better.

Sat,

Thanks for agreeing with me.

Jdvn1,

Really? I liked the expanded stuff myself. Especially as a unmounted paladin.

I picked it up yesterday. I'm happy with it.

The feats were interesting, though some I thought questionable (Telling Blow). One thing I did like is that several which require class specific abilities as a prerequisite (bardic music, arcane spells) are listed as bonus fighter feats. Nice that they promote multi-classing.

Hm..rollback to 12/29/05 and my postcount has only dropped by about 100. Guess I need to lurk less.

I thumbed through it, looked somewhat interesting.

Beguiler - Why no diplomacy? I understand manipulating people through deception, but that doesn't mean 100% of the time. Just seemed odd.

Duskblade - Did the casting on that class look off balance to anyone else? Sure they get a selection of spells worse than a sorcerer, but to cast even more of them, in armor, with a full Bab?

Knight - I like this, very good conceptual class of the knight. Not everyone's idea of a knight, but different than a plain fighter, without stepping on toes. Need to read more on it though.

That's just for me flipping through it at a book store. I intend to order it at some point.

Heh. Got mine yesterday.

I agree; some of the changes seem ONLY so as not to step on the toes of other classes (beguiler/bard, knight/fighter, etc). that said, they are fun alternatives to the core 11.

What didn't impress me: affliations, most of the new spells (not bad, just boring).

What did: Quick N/PC rules, most of the feats, some of the character/party info.

7/10.

GAH! What happened to my post count?! I was almost 3rd level... :(

Got mine yesterday. Awesome so far. Good feats, good character class options. I haven't been this happy with a WotC release since Unearthed Arcana.

amazon delivered mine yesterday - AWESOME!
I'm in love with the new base classes, especially the Beguiler and the Duskblade.
The feats look great.
Nice new spells.
= best WotC buy since Heroes of Horror (for the Dread Necromancer and the Archivist) and Lords of Madness...

Can anyone please tell me what the Weapon Supremacy feat grants?
+4 to checks to resist being disarmed, you can wield the weapon in a grapple without penalty and use it as normal, you can add +5 to all your attacks after the first when taking a full attack, you can take 10 on an attack roll once per round, and you gain a +1 AC bonus.

Got it and love it. The base classes are excellent (Duskblade is my favorite), most feats usefull and the fluff ain't bad either.

The most pleasant surprise where the spells. They are really all exceptional and extremely usefull.

What's the BAB requirement of this one again? +15? +18?
