If your DM doesn't have the rules, please consider heading to:

www.d20srd.org

Here you have an online guide that works using hyperlinks. You just click on the word you need to look up and it takes you to the appropriate page. Best website I've seen, IMO.

What?

If a Rogue makes a succesfull feint against you, and denies you your Dex bonus to AC against his attacks, do you think you'll stand paralized where you are?

Ask your DM to read the rules before playing.

More rules reading needed...

I highly suggest you, and your DM spend some time with the SRD, and possibly spend the $$ on the books. It is obvious that both of you are making quesses as to how the rules work.

Not being able to take actions, such as when Stunned, means you, the player, cannot declare an action, such as Attack, Defend, Move, etc... It does not mean that the character stands there stupidly, allowing enemies to do whatever they wish. The character can still defend, altho his ability to do so is limited.
This limitation is reflected by not having an active defense {no Dex mod to AC} and a penalty to AC.

In order to bag and shackle, your character would have to be either Helpless or Pinned. The condition of Stunned is neither of these.

So, the Monks could Stun, then attempt to grapple and pin you {opposed STR checks per the Grappling rules}.. and then have a buddy tie you up.

Being stunned is a dangerous condition, more so with an enemy Rogue who will get Sneak Attack damage, but for 9th level characters should be just an inconvienance.

Just so you know, you can run the entire game from the SRD. I have yet to purchase the new editions PHB or DMG, relying on the SRD and my players for the written text of the rules.
{oh, and of course, this board :) }

I hope this rules confusion does not hinder your groups enjoyment of the game, good luck!

No, that is only if you have a dex of 0. Losing a dex bonus is like having a dex of 10. Being stunned means you cannot make a move action (or any other action type), not that you cannot move.

Think about it like this:

A paralysed person cannot move. They are absolutely stuck in place immobile. Sometimes they can't even think clearly anymore.

A stunned person is knocked silly. Think of it like that feeling you have when you stand up too fast and all the blood goes out of your head. You can barely see, you can move, and if someone were to attack you you could defend yourself, but you couldn't do any of that very well.

That will require grapple checks from the monks. Sure, they'll have an easier time at it while you're stunned (with -2 AC and without the Dex bonus), but that's only for the initial touch attack of a grapple attempt.

Once you're pined, then they can cuff you... But not before.
