I bought my copy of Airships @ amazon.com.

I flipped thru a copy of Toolbox (which I've been wanting) and I would highly recommend it. Book of the Righteous is a must buy. Airships looks cool but I haven't used it in-game yet.

And I'm not sure, but Angcuru is screaming and ranting about something to do with CAR. It's either an acronym or the name of a d20 sourcebook that I haven't heard of yet. :p

My best purchases (based on bang for the buck):

1) Midnight campaign setting;
2) Freeport: City of Adventure;
3) Monsternomicon;
4) Denizens of Freeport; and
5) Toolbox.

The Witchfire module you are thinking of is WFIII: The Legion of Lost Souls. You can get the stats for steamjacks for free at: www.privateerpress.com

Lemme second the heck out of that motion. Midnight's rad. I've never wanted to play low-magic before I saw this. It will scare the bejeezus out of you.

Do you have D20 Modern yet? It's a great buy, and it'll give you lots of ideas for non-standard games. Heck, it's worth it just for the Gnoll Pimp alone.

I've got D20 Modern, yes.

I might hold off on Airships for right now, since the party probably isn't gonna be able to procure another one for awhile anyway.

I think I'm gonna buy Book of the Righteous, Freeport:CoA, Denizens of Freeport, and the Monsternomicon, in addition to the 4 Encyclopaedia Arcanes.

I would qualify these books as must-haves for 3E gamers and DMs:

1) Midnight- there is nothing else even remotely like it out there- it beats the snot out of all other campaign worlds! Even if you don't play it as is- there are tons of great ideas in there.
2) Book of the Righteous- THE best cosomology out there for any game.
3) Legions of Hell and Armies of the Abyss- go along with BotR, and full of nasty new fiends.
4) Monster's Handbook from FFG- great resource for DMs wanting to put new twists on monsters, and lots more useful than Savage Species.
5) Spells and Spellcraft- lots of interesting ways to twist and tweak magic, including new spells, rules for familiars, item creation, etc.
6) Any of the Path of books (Sword, Faith, Magic, Shadow). They have great ideas about how to give the various classes a more personalized touch, lots of new PrCs, a few new core classes, and feats.
7) Book of Vile Darkness- makes DMs grin evilly just looking through it!
8) Ultimate Equipment Guide from Mongoose- a great resource for all sorts of non-magical equipment, but that would still be incredibly useful to adventurers. Much better than the Arms & Equipment Guide- kinda like the old Aurora's Catalog.
