Remember, it's not a refund. It's an interest-free loan where you get to be the lender!

My refund is going to pay for Origins and GenCon this year. I waited until just a couple of days ago to do mine, because I was afraid that I would owe money, and also because I'm an idiot. Imagine my pleasant surprise! I'm afraid I'll buy even more stuff at the cons than usual this year that I'll rarely if ever use. Oh, well - found money and all, dontcha know.

I owed hundreds of dollars more to the federal government than I had deducted from my paychecks so I sent in my check. It turns out I had too much withdrawn from my paycheck for state taxes though. The difference? After I get my state refund I will have paid a net 41 cents after paycheck deductions.



So no splurge for me.
