Personally, I think James Marster should launch his film career, or better yet, co-star with Eliza Dushku on a TV project titled, Heroine. Hopefully a network would pick up the pilot episode and the entire series for next Fall season or as mid-season replacement.

Sorry, just know the title of Duskhu's latest project, not the premise.

Of course, he could make a good antagonist on Alias, which seems to have a lot of known celebrities guest-starred in it (Christian Slater, Matt Damon, comedian Richard Lewis, Faye Dunaway, Rutger Hauer, etc.).

I think the reason he wants to stay in the Joss-fold is threefold:

1)Joss Whedon's writers are a character actor's dream. The diversity of roles and projects that most of the actors get to do on that show is fantastic. His screen time and the sould searching that SPike ahs been doing is nothing less than fantastic for an actor who wants to act. So many jobs in Hollywood depend on sterotyping, or twenty-line gigs in a thirty-minute show.

2) Steady Paycheck. Who DOESN'T want one of those?

3) Popular character. Spike has a built-in fan base, and he probably hates to walk away from that.

I do think he's a good enough actor to do some other roles though. His depth with Spike this season and last has been among some of the best acting I've ever seen.

But until people are offering him top billing movie roles, I don't think he wants to walk away from the known quanity of "the Jossverse," unless he absolutely has to.

On the Alias note, I think any actor that is put on that show would look good as the writing is spectacular (which ep was Damon in?).

As for Spike joining Angel, bring it on. That would be very interesting as Spike can actually find true happiness eventually and Angel cannot (or risk becomming Angelus again). That could play very well.

I don't know. They're in need of a comic relief, now that Wesley has gone all dark and brooding. Spike would be the one. Willow would probably moving into Fred's territory. And although Willow stated she's seeing someone, she and Fred... I'll leave that up to imagination. :p

Poor Gunn, the only African-American regular on the show. Still, it is one more than Friends.

That's true, but now that Gina Torres is around for a few eps (I'm guessing) there is at least an all-powerful godlike African American presence. :)

Feh. She's just another African-American driving through. Gabrielle Union was the first such actress to play a woman that comes between Ross and Joey. She lasted one episode.

So far, the longest non-white to ever be on Friends the longest is Ross's girlfriend he met on China (Julie, played by Lauren Tom), just when Rachel realized his feeling for her at the end of 1st season.

Well, at least Angel HAS a non-white regular on the show. You could technically call Lorne non-white altho the actor who plays him is white.

Ok, back to the topic for me: I'm thinking Henry is right with his point on actors enjoying being in the Joss-verse. It's usually meaty stuff and is handled with care. A TV actor's dream.
