You really do look for things to offend you, don't you? :\
Relax. In many environments, he would be correct to assume a bias, after all. Just not here.

C'mon everybody. Get happy! It's all gonna be alright - so swears your sweet ever-lovin-daddio Torm, yo.

I'm offended that you are offended by my being offended, especially when I am raging against emoticons, which oppress all peoples, especially the dreaded !!!!

It is religious, but - and I'm sure the moderators will correct me if I'm wrong - the REAL rule on ENWorld isn't "no religion or politics", it is "don't start flamewarish, trollish crap about religion and politics, or feed flames and trolls about those topics". What he said isn't presented as a point to be argued with and cause hard feelings with, and he did say "my". Not "our", making assumptions about everyone else.

Just like I can say that the Norse Tyr is one of my personal patron deities, and I'm not hurting anyone. Tis just true. :)
Except that what he said was "but it is still special to me when i see others doing likewise in response to his birth." in response to someone talking about random acts of good will in the spirit of the season. Sort of like if you responded to someone's approciation of the amusing rabid football fans in the Bowl season by saying, "yeah I always celebrate my lord Tyr's love of symbolic battle, and its good to see others doing so in response to his battle season." :p

I have nothing agaisnt a good "I love Jesus" post, nothing for it either, (though one poster was called on "religion" for using the sign off "blessed be" so there might be a bit of a double standard floating about) but when someone assigns their motivations to the actions of everyone, I notice. And occasionally I correct the assumptions involved.

(sometimes I correct the idea that christmas actually marks jesus's birth, but occasionally folks get traumatised. )

I love the season too, the snow, the music, everything until about December 20th where I'm all jaded and want it to end.
