Sword and Fist=good
MMII=I wish I had money to buy it.
Dragon 300=good 'n evil
Gnomes=The funniest thing I ever heard was when my friend said he would never play a gnome again after the barbarian and fighter kept playing "Gnomeball" and punting him across the room.

I personally have nothing against gnomes but I don't really like them either.

Well, when I am able to play instead of DM, I almost always play a melee character. The options presented in Sword and Fist work just fine for me.

I don't really have an opinion about Gnomes. Gnobody plays them, heck, gnobody even looks at them when they're generating their characters.

Dragon 300 was a disappointment.

Monster Manual 2 is a solid product.

S&F has feats I actually use. I prefer Tome and Blood though. I Think master of the Wild is the best, but could have been called "Complete Druid's Handbook 3e". Since we hardly have druids IMC, MotW is collecting dust.

Gnomes belong in Gardens and in Dragonlance, but what they are doing in Greyhawk and FR, I have no idea.

Dragon 300 will probably take 3 months to get here, at least, and the same goes for MM2 :(

Sword & Fist? Better with the erratta. But it turned me off of spaltbooks in general.

Monster Manual II? Worth the price for the yugoloths alone. Strike that. For the arcanaloth alone.

Dragon #300? Not the most useful issue ever, but it's got my devious mind to thinking about the nature of evil, and all that. Excellent, given that my players are preparing to venture into the lower planes...

Gnomes? I'll try to keep this short. I hated them in previous editions of the game but resolved to give them another try in 3e. I rolled up a gnomish bard, which seemed to me like a neat character concept, but proved perfectly useless in application. I became the object of ridicule, which only served to make me want to play the character that much more. (I am stubborn and prideful. What can I say?) In the end, I was forced to concede defeat. Even now, I find myself trying to defend gnomes from time to time, but deep down inside, I know the truth. And to this day, the term "gnomish bard" is used in our group to denote something that is utterly useless in every way.

Next to half-orcs, gnomes are my favorite class. And really, I only like half-orcs so much because my first PC ever was one.

Character idea I've always wanted to use- Gnome Bard Stand-up Comic. :D

Sword and Fist: Liked it. Loved the Duelist. Book needed a better editor and proofreader though.

Dragon 300: Don't have it yet. Gonna get it though, I'm a completist.

MM2: Have it. Like it. Don't have any players high-level enough to trot out the real fun critter in it, though.

Gnomes: I used to have nothing but bad experiences with them. My girlfriend's first character was a gnomish monk, and needless to say, she couldn't get into the game for awhile. I almost thought of writing them out of my campaign setting, but I decided I didn't want to be a quitter. You should see what I turned them into:D Heh heh heh.

Ah, you'd have loved my much-maligned gnome bard then. One of his Performance skills was puppetry - a la Punch & Judy - and he was always using them to defuse tense situations. Or rather, that was the idea. As mentioned earlier, he was f**k-all useless when the rubber hit the pavement.

Gnomes should never be PC races. Humans, high elves, meadow sprites, dwarves, and dark elves are all that is needed. Why not go ahead and make the sylph a PC race. On the other hand, tinker gnomes are very cool. Gnevermind Gnomes forever.
