I need a PrC for a Priest of Hextor!

Well the fist of hextor (Sword and Fist) is all well and good but it's rather bland considering some of the other classes out there for a priest.

I need something along the lines of:

1. Inspires fear or terror

2. Still gains level as a cleric

3. Warlike-battle oriented.




Any ideas?

Sounds like you want something along the lines of a Warpriest from DotF.

I'll second the Dreadmaster. It seems to be along the lines you requested. It's also in the Faiths & Pantheons book, IIRC.

cleric has domains of War and Knowledge..evil is not his forte really. He IS LE, but only because the tactics of war that he uses are not convential and he really does not give a rats behind about the enemy. Any means neccessary to crush them and move on are all that matters to him. Justice, Law, Order, all with an iron fist is his idea of a gov't.


War priest I thought of and was so/so about it..any pros about it? Isn't it only for dwarves?

No, not at all. I think the picture is of a dwarven war priest, but any class can do it. I played a halfling war priest, and it was one of the funnest characters I've ever played. I don't really remember the specific abilities of the PrC since I'm not near my books, but I know they get a lot of abilities that they can pass along to their troops - bonuses vs fear, ability to mass heal, etc.

hmmm...i will have to take a look at this. Anyone know of anything more along the lines of a heavy handed general type to play?

Not that I know of Leo, but I do think if you want warpriest, go for it. It's a good class and you don't lose much spellcasting ability.
