I Need Some Advice About Working with my party's rogue...

I believe it was in one of Mel Brooke's films (perhaps High Anxiety ) that noted that the loudest, most annoying people are often the most ignored and left alone people in the world simply because sane people do not want to have anything to do with them. The DM could simply have people ignore, underestimate, avoid, and/or just block Madias out of their memories simply because he is so ridiculously annoying and blatant about his occupation, which real no thief/rogue in his right mind would be. Thus they might discount him as just a poser as best. You might suggest to the player to have his character max out his bluff skill and take advantage of these assumptions.

Or you could whack the player with a blunt instrument, preferably one that is damaging and heavy, until you knock some sense into him. This might be easier than my first suggestion ;).

The other thingy. Although we have all those pointy things at your place to whack him with if need be.

I'll tell you right now, I have no intention of kicking ing money for food. Figured I warn you ahead of time :D

So, what does the Ranger think about the rogue? You could always sit down and talk with him, ask why he does the things he does. Or give him some suggestions for improving, and do it all in game.

I have a question- I find your posts to be quite humorous. Have you guys ever considered making a story hour based on your campaigns? If they are usually this good, it would be extremely hilarious.

remember that I recently made a large money transaction and I am about a thousand bucks in debt. you know how things are, financially-obsessed mother and all.

how about this: once the car's paid off I pay for the Pizza for a month?

That's cause you're a jerk Crothian:D . If you really loved me, you'd kick in some money for pizza(although we're very lucky, right by Angcuru's and mine's houses, we've got a pizzeria that charges 6.00 for a large pie mondays and tuesdays).

i'll let Angcuru field the Ranger question, since it's his character.

maybe i'll download a copy of Dragonwrite and get a text copy of our next gaming session. may be a good idea.

Good point. I'm hoping Ron kicks in some cash sometime soon though(although we're about even, what with him having helped me get a job last year and all, plus introducing us to Chris).

Jim: If Angcuru wants to gimme the transcript of the sessions, I'll write a story hour. Should I include our Out-of-Game tangents that occasionally happen(including the nightly comments about the quality of Ron's 18 year old sister Jessica? )
