While Keep on the Borderlands is a fine module (I'm running it at the moment for my kids), I think that WotC's time would be best spent on converting a different module. After all, almost all of the creatures in KotB are basic creatures appearing in the Monster Manual and most of the other elements are equally basic, allowing them to be converted on the fly without any real hassles. Tomb of Horrors had several elements that needed work to update to 3e - the same is not true of KotB imho.

this has been done already in the "Official" magazine. Dungeon. plus they also have the Return (1999)to in 2edADnD.

I wish it will be an update of Dragon's Crown, along with a conversion of the Dark Sun setting that will make everyone (especially me) happy. I don't think the chances are very good, though.
