D&D General I wish those new Forgotten Realms books would hurry up...

We were supposed to have that by now, so that must make it worse.
It's certainly hard for the guy in my Eberron game playing an artificer. I let the other players update to the new versions of their PC classes thinking that he'd be able to do so around the same time, but then the book got hit with the delay, and now he's left waiting ... he keeps asking, "When is the new artificer going to be available again?" "Not till December ..."

I honestly didn't think the warping was all that bad in the photos they shared. I've also been feeling unsure about sticking with D&D, and the new Eberron book was going to be the make-or-break point* for me ... and so having that four-month delay has just extended that angst period for me as well.

I got my IRS money (child tax credits, etc) recently, so I splurged a little and bought the FR digital bundle on D&D Beyond. Maybe I'll use them as the make-or-break point instead.

Oh yeah I feel you. I had to delete my Reddit account so I'd stop getting exposed to world news.
I would love to delete my social media accounts, but a) I still have to use social media for work and b) they're still a good way of connecting with friends and family overseas (and with my teenage children).

*I'm still enjoying DMing my episodic 5e Eberron campaign, but I have lost all interest in being a player, and I just don't know if I want to stick with WotC D&D or not. The revised rules were hit-and-miss enough that they didn't become an instant sell the way I was hoping, but at the same time, I don't particularly want to stick with the warty OG version. But I don't know if I have the energy to put together a hybrid version. I don't have any players who care enough. I've looked into a few alternatives, but none of them have taken my fancy either. The only thing that does look intriguing to me is Mike Mearls' Odyssey game, but it's still in its infancy. It's just a side project of his, so who knows when he'll be finished with it! In the meantime, while I'm still on the WotC D&D bandwagon, I'm close to the edge, and I'm worried that if the wagon hits another rock or pothole, I'll be over the side ... and if that happens, I doubt I'll want to get back on.
