Uric grunts and heads for the nearest shelter, 'Damnable magic giants' he mutters under his breath...

Bellalalalalinda shelters herself in the shadow of Whistler, hugging closet his fur and burying her face to avoid the dust and other debris that is floating around. "Can you take me to the others?" she asks, holding on to his fur, as he makes his way over to the others. Her concentration is held on the withdrawing giant. When she finds the others, in the lee of a building, she asks, "What did it want? What was its motivation?" This makes no sense to her, but while she con she keeps thinking about the creature.

"I see no others outside," she shouts over the wind. "I think they'll be fine. If we can travel with the giant, even keeping a long distance, I should be able to follow its path once we are clear of all of this."

OOC: Bell continues concentration on Hunter's Mark, though it too will only last the hour. Relevant Ranger abilities: * When travelling for an hour or more difficult terrain doesn't slow the group, and we can't become lost, except by magic. * when tracking, she will know numbers, sizes, and how long ago the giants (or humanoids) passed. * with Primeval awareness she can attune her senses to see if favoured enemies are nearby: 1 min concentration gives numbers, direction, and distance w/in 5 miles -- so as long as we make some progress, it should still be within range.

The party follows the giant out of town escaping the storm eventually.

OOC: Presume 25 points of damage taken to each character from the storm.

She grips her mace as if to be able to defend herself, but her spirit seems quite broken.

Davaros has difficuty controlling his anger. This is a thug, trying to argue with them. He shouts "And what is it that you were looking for?"

"The cultists were seeking to flush out some rats, something of no concern to me. But in exchange they promised me information to pass on to the Countess, Sansuri, of long-lost Ostorian treasures."

Uric growls at the witch, but remains silent at the giants words. He calmed his breathing to catch his breath after that ordeal...

Even with Whistler protecting her, Bellalalalinda feels the effect of the storm. They can't keep this pace up. She wants to heal herself, but is uncertain how her other companions are doing, and will wait to ensure they don't need her. They've made a mistake. they've let the giant escape.

OOC: Bell: 5/45 hp. Whistler: 15/40 hp.

By all the gods, he had never heard of such a powerful weather controlling item. Though he was able to mystically invigorate himself, he felt for the villagers whose homes had been devastated.

Much as he would like to stay and assist them, it seemed there was a bigger threat to be investigated, "Where does Sansuri live, and how many more of those orbs does she have?"

"Damn you woman, tell us what you know about these Ostorian treasures!", Davaros is getting impatient with the Giantess. She is obviously tongue tied, and he is getting more and more eager to finish the job.
