ROUND 1 (South Chamber)

While Caer hears the sounds in the north chamber, he feels that the others have it well in hand. He looks carefully at where the holes are placed and determines where any remaining spears would fire to. Then he carefully maneuvers, ensuring that he is never in line with the holes, and opens the sarcophagus, assuming that with the surplus of necromantic magic that what was once dead within it may now have risen.

OOC:

Stratus ran across the room and pulled the lever, hoping that it would open the door.

Anson instinctively shields his eyes, and steps back into the light when he hears the commotion coming from the sarcophagus. He moves and ducks his head as the portcullis opens up, and a flaming knife emerging from his fist shoots forth towards the creature rising from the gave.

The blades that shoot from his fists are different than they had been before -- in this place (or after the sky fell? -- it had changed character. It was now more knife-like, and it gave Anson a small headache everytime he used it. But the pain was small, and could be endured.

OOC: Int save: 1d20+2=11 vs DC 10. Pass.

Does Anson need to enter the room to have a clear shot? If so he does so (moving 30'); but if he can reach by range, then he'll fire his psycic blade through the opening.
Move, then Attack 1d20+5=8 (hit, even with part cover?), for 3d6+3=11 psychic; next attack with adv.
Bonus: Dodge. (can't use second blade, since he's holding firesticks).

No need to go in the room if you have a clear shot.

Also, the light shouldn't affect anyone anymore - it was just the initial flash. It seems to be affecting the undead though.

Anson's attack misses undead Priest - it's AC 14.

Anson stands at the door next to Havoc and psychic daggers shoot at the Priest but he resists it.

ROUND 2
From the corner Benny directs Max to attack the mummy and while it is distracted to fly 5ft up to clear the path for the others. The attacks do horrible burning damage to the Priest.

He turns towards Max, angry at the radiant damage, almost as if it reminds some long lost life that he can no longer attain. He lashes it out in a furious attack with his mace but the light in his eyes prevent the attacks from connecting. He screams in frustration and fury.

He moves under Max towards Benny.

OOC: Benny move none
Benny attack: direct Max to attack: attack 20 damage 11 (4 slashing 7 radiant)
Max move: same square, fly 5ft up and hover
This should negate cover to the mummy through Max’s square

Priest attacks Max Twice but both attacks miss. I hate disadvantage.

Round 2.

From where he's standing, Anson fires again, another psychic blade and the creature in the tomb, but the pain in his head causes him to wince and his blade goes wild. He drops the sticks with a clatter on the bare stone and a second blade shoots from his left hand, almost as if he's being controlled by some other force. What is this strange power? He asks himself. What's happening to me?

OOC: Action: Attack. 1d20+5 (w/adv)=8 Miss.
(drop sticks)
Bonus attack: 1d20+5 (w/ adv)=20 Hit; damage=1d4+2d6 (SA)+3 (dex)=17 Psychic.

Stratus stepped into the room, ready to defend his smaller allies.

OOC: If he can get in to a spot he can attack with his longsword, he will, hitting AC18 for 8 slashing. If not, he'll Ready the same attack in case the creature moves within 5ft of him. Either way, he will use his Reaction to Intercept. If an ally within 5ft of him takes damage from an attack, he will reduce it by 4 (rolled crap). He will prioritize standing where he can intercept for either ally, rather than getting in there.

Anson's final psychic blast seems to have an effect on the creature as it drops its weapon and clutches its head and falls to the ground. Whatever had possessed the Saint of Pelor and turned it into a mockery of its former self has been destroyed.

The Chest has 4 golden stoppered vials of holy water. Not really good for throwing but enough to cast Spells requiring holy water. Each vial is around 20gp in value.

Everything is quiet in the tomb. The only place to go is West.

After pulling the lever, you move west. An intersection of corridors features two stone doors with a lever between them, a sarcophagus in an alcove, and a statue of Pelor with a rune covered tablet in its hands. The runes are different from the first statue's which corresponded to the runes upon the brazier.

The encounter is done. It was meant to be pretty dangerous but I missed with all 5 of its attacks - thanks to the ward in that room. I guess the ward functioned as designed.

Anyways, you can search around but there isn't much left to see. The only way to go is West since the North door is sealed somehow.

I've put you in marching order.

Where do you want to go now?

45 minutes until nightfall.

"I will try to block anything that might come from that sarcophagus," offered Stratus, "While you continue forward."

He then slipped around the corner and placed his shield arm down on the lid, trying to brace himself against anything that might try to break out.
