As she mentally prepares herself for battle, Jeni tells her companions "Leave the central way free so I can come down in bear form. My goal is to let a few arrows fly, offer some healing at distance if necessary, and then shapechange" she then moves behind the altar, chants a spell, and then hides to better surprise the enemy.

OOC: Jeni positions herself at O16, and casts barkskin (her AC is now 16 even while wielding her bow, and will remain 16 in bear form)
She proceeds to hide (stealth: [roll0] advantage, if applicable, since they have time for this [roll1] )
She is doing this to get advantage on her first attack.

Spell slots remaining Level 1: 2/4, Level 2: 0/2
Concentration: barkskin (duration up to 1h)

Initiative: [roll2] Wow! our initiatives for this fight SUCK!!!!

"If we leave the central way free, they'll flood the church and we'll lose the advantage of the chokepoint. Just let us know when you're about to come in and we'll shift." Morgan replied.

OOC: Initiatives.

Venn - [roll0]

Kobolds - [roll1]
Cultists - [roll2]
Dragonclaw - [roll3]

Order:
Kobolds 21
Dragonclaw 17
Venn 13
Hunter 6
Cultists 6
Jeni 5
Carad 4
Morgan 3

I had two requests for O16, so Jeni gets P16.
No need to mention strikes for subdual v. the dragonclaw, I'll assume you're trying to take him prisoner.

The doors are barred, so you don't have time to throw them open, and the enemies certainly expect some form of resistance on the other side, so no surprise. Jeni is hidden, Carad is not.

As the doors finally crumple inwards, the band outside prepares to rush in and assault a bunch of helpless peasants. The cultist take pause at seeing armed resistance inside, but the kobolds do not care who they face and swarm inwards, two pushing past the humans and the others slinging stones. The robed leader seems content to advise from the back ranks.

"Don't just stand there - get them!"

The first, bravest little kobold darts in and hits Hunter with his dagger, but his friend beside him is unable to get past Morgan's steely defense.
Both warriors are pelted with stones, blocking most with their shields, but each is clipped by one of the kobolds.

OOC: This is gonna get bad, yall.
Lets see just how many dice this roller can handle. edit: not that many.

Hunter is hit for 4 piercing and 3 bludgeoning (7 damage)
Morgan is hit for 5 bludgeoning.

Initiative:
Kobolds 21
Dragonclaw 17
Venn 13

OOC: If anyone has a sleep spell, now's the time to use it.

HP: 22/28 (Started with 20/28, ate my seven berries, and took 5 damage just now)
AC: 19

Morgan cursed as she was pelted with sling stones. She drew on the pain and started swinging her flail, preparing to attack.

OOC: You got it! Going to post Carad's actions now even though his initiative comes later. Not going to be able to post for a few hours and don't want to hold up everyone. His actions won't likely change anyway whatever the cultists do.

Taken aback by the ferocity of the attack, Carad decided to take action to try to turn the tide. He stepped out from behind the altar, and again started chanting words of power. Reaching into a pouch, he pulled out a pinch of sand and flung it forward. The words of power came alive with eldritch power, carrying the whirling sand towards the raiders. As the power of the spell left him, Carad again dived behind the altar, attempting to hide, still keeping his ears open for what might be happening behind the back door.

OOC: Action
Casting Sleep, centred in the midst of the attackers. Range 90ft and radius 20ft should cover most if not all the possible enemies. He would primarily target the kobolds, figuring they would be most susceptible. HP affected: [roll0].
Bonus Action
Hide - Stealth: [roll1]
Ok, that's it. Carad's out of spell slots.

ETA: 12 hp!!! Carad continues his unlucky streak. At least he finally managed to hide himself.

Venn stands atop the alter, boldly glowing his fierce blue. With a wave of the hand and some indecipherable words he flings a ray of energy into the mass of kobolds and cultists.

He follows the blast with shouts of maddening delight. Wisps of blue light curl around his hands and face, and his body seems to shimmer in the Eldritch light. He stands silhouetted atop of the altar looking every bit the mad wizard he can be. Come to me mortals! Tonight, I gather your souls!

OOC: [roll0]

and of course his mad shouts will be an attempt at intimidate. Maybe? If you'll allow this sort of tomfoolery. He uses his prestidigitation to add to his visage.

Hunter snarls as he takes damage and lets the bloodlust take him. With wild abandon he attacks the kobolds.
