Carad once again ducked out from behind the pew and fired his arrow at the cultist next to Morgan, to clear a path for her. He then sprinted back to the of the church, taking cover behind the alcove.

He sent to Scree, "Is the back of the temple clear of enemies?"

Carad clears the front cultist out of Morgan's path and scurries for the back door, unbarring it when Scree confirms the coast is clear.
Morgan pushes to the front of the line, killing a kobold, then she is swarmed by the newly arrived horde.
Four kobolds dart in at her with knives flashing. She blocks the first one, but two more get through her guard, and then when she is distracted by them, the final one is able to plant his dagger solidly into her.

damage - [roll0]
damage - [roll1]
damage - [roll2] crit!

Then the remaining kobolds unleash a salvo of sling stones with brutal accuracy. Morgan is clipped by one.

And Hunter takes two to his chest and a third rings right off his head.

damage - [roll4] (1 after reduction)
damage - [roll5] (2 after reduction)
damage - [roll6] crit! (3 after reduction)

OOC: I believe that puts Morgan down.
Sorry guys, kobold swarms are lethal.

The hooded figure sees his opportunity and steps through the kobolds, standing over Morgan's fallen body and facing down Hunter. The drakes take up flanking positions outside the door while the dragonclaw swings a scimitar with practiced ease, and scores two hits on the barbarian.

advantage- [roll1] vs. AC 17 hit

Venn grits his teeth, his mind clearing and becoming more sane by the second. His eyes dart across the church, looking for escapes or aides to their fight. Yet he cannot find any. He considers bringing the church down around them, but decides against it. Instead he plants his feet firmly on the ground and brings his hands together building an arcane energy between them. A real silhouette appears around him as his form seems to shimmer between planes of existence. His eyes shoot a deep black, but the blue fiendish fire continues to escape like a foul gas. Suddenly he reaches his arms forward and an arc of purple lightning lances out towards the Dragonclaw, creating a beam between them.

OOC: [roll0]
[roll1]

Every turn after, Venn will sustain the stream of energy to continue 1d12 damage to him. This takes his action though he can still move.
ITS A CRIT! Should I reroll with extra damage? Or would that not count. Technically witch bolt is a ranged attack.

In response to the Dragon claw's threat, Venn steps forward and a coruscating line of blue energy crackles out of his finger tips, striking the man dead in the chest. The dragonclaw grits his teeth and endures the worst of the lightning, but is unable to defend himself against Hunter's hammer, which lashes out, striking him in the gut. The robed figure doubles over in pain, Hunter strikes him in the head with the hammer's handle and he slumps to the ground next to Morgan.

The human cultists look seriously concerned at their leader's defeat, and cut wildly at the barbarian.

[sblock=rolls]attack - [roll0]
advantage - [roll1] (due to reckless attack)

damage - [roll2]

attack - [roll3]
advantage - [roll4] (due to reckless attack)

damage - [roll5][/sblock]

But both fail to connect. Leaderless and unable to scratch their foe, they try to make a break for it. (Hunter, you may take an OA if you like, please indicate if you'd like to hit the injured or uninjured one).

OOC: Initiative:
Kobolds 21
Dragonclaw 17
Venn 13
Hunter 6
Cultists 6
Jeni 5
Carad 4
Morgan 3

Jeni and Carad are up, then Death Save for Morgan if they don't stabilize you.

Venn cuts the energy from the arc and falls to his knees, the energy dissipates around him as he groans. Pulling himself back up with his bent staff he gathers his thoughts, enemy leader on the ground and Morgan beside him. He moves himself up to Hunter and kneels at Morgan's side pulling one of the good berries from his pocket to supply it to her and aid her recovery.

[roll0] (if needed, let this move fall within initiative order if it still applies. Venn will move quickly to help.)

Hunter swings at the back of a retreating cultist, who is able to avoid the hammer blow and scurry to safety.

OOC: No advantage. Reckless attack only gives advantage during your turn.

Stepping out briefly from the alcove, Carad's brows furrowed in concentration as he pulled the mirage of the smoke cloud through the back wall and sent it flitting down the aisle, masking Hunter and Jeni to keep them out of sight. That done, he delved back behind the alcove, ready to open the door if needed.

OOC: Action to move the Silent Image of smoke cloud now at N7-P9. Hunter and Jeni (and Venn later when he runs into it) can see out, but the raiders can't see in. Then bonus action to hide again.
Stealth: [roll0]
