D&D 5E [IC] Uller's Out of the Abyss

OOC: I'll go ahead and walk around the corner this square:

All four passages do indeed come together in a small chamber. To the south there is a low stone door. It is covered in a carved wave/tentacle pattern intermingled with what appears to be eyes.

Ezraen is going to check the neighboring corridor to see if that one is 'trapped' as well, again using his scabbard to check the floor for pressure plates or another hollow tile.

Since you know what you are looking for I'll give you advantage. Or you can heed her advice and just use the passage she used.

Surana spotted the trap in that passage. Your tapping with your sword confirmed it but if it wasn't for her you wouldn't have noticed it.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine," Erevan mutters. He does stop, however, a few feet in.

Grabbing a tiny shiny thing from somewhere, the elf decides to examine the peculiar object he 'found' earlier, away from any prying eyes.

It was not a gem, although it seemed like it at the time. Moving it from one hand to another, he feels that there is something inside the small orb. Holding it close to his eyes, Erevan studies the object intensely, even shaking it a bit near his ear.

OOC: Examining the shiny he stole from the kuo toa shrine. ;)
It is definitely platinum and hollow. You see no seams. When you shake it it rattles like is contains several metal beads or other small objects.

"I just think it might be easier to get our addle-brained friends through an untrapped corridor than it would to get them to jump the hollow tile... I guess we can come back to that..."

OOC: Hey this one is just fine, Whoa! *Wilhelm scream!* :D

OOC:
Opening it.

Okay. Sounds like Ezraen has decided to join you. What about Orsik and Erevan. In fact...

Orsik peeks into the passage towards Erevan. "Anything in this passage, my high-born friend? The other two are getting ahead of us. I don't think I like standing around by this pile of goo. It might get hungry!"

The heavy stone door resists, it's stone and iron hinges protesting with a rumbling, scarping noise. As your light falls into the room a stone fountain with a raised edge is revealed. The basin contains shallow dark water. At the center of the pool, the rubble of a broken statue rests atop a pedestal. All that remains recognizable is a pair of clawed stone bird like feet clutching the top of the pedestal.

Carved into the walls are seven niches. Water seeps into one niche on the eastern wall through a crack in the wall. The two niches that flank it are empty. The four remaining niches (south, southwest, west and north west) are occupied by strange formless sculptures that are reminiscent of the oozes that attacked you.

Anyone that enters the room can make a perception check.
