D&D 5E [IC] Uller's Out of the Abyss

Ezraen cast a spell for his action. Bertram has merely backed up. You could drop your pack and tell him to find the goblets. Erevan could back up beside or in front of Ezraen and ready an attack and get SA damage since they would then be beside you.

Their move is 30' but if you want to stop where two of you can attack and only one of them you'll have to stop within range of them moving and (one of them) attacking. Going further back the passage closes to a tunnel where it would be 1v1.

OOC: I cannot this round because bless is an action to cast. But intend to attack next round. I can step back for you to be in front, then we can switch out as needed. I do not have the best concentration check if I get hit. EDIT: Okay, that makes sense.

OOC: Ok, that's perfect, Bert can do it. And IMO it's worth stopping movement early in the spot where only one of them can attack us. That way you can maintain your concentration and we can stem the flow of damage coming in. So, updated move:

1. Rage
2. Fire off a crossbow shot at Topsy: [roll0] + [roll1]
3. Fall back to the 2-on-1 bottleneck and ask Bert to find me the goblets

That's a hit. Edit: No damage

Save vs poision (DC9) [roll0]

The bolt thunks into Topsy's hide and she shrieks in anger but there is no sign the poison slows her at all. Bertram grabs the pack and drags it back as the two rats charge.

OOC: we'll wait to hear from JustinCase...so you are saying that Ezraen and Bert will be the back rank so Ez can concentrate on bless while Surana and Erevan take the front rank?

OOC: @itcomeswithamap, keep it up. If they fail the save, they are poisoned, and have diasadvantage. If they fail by more than 5 I think they pass out. EDIT: Or if you want to switch, I can shoot and we can take advantage of your extra damage in melee! (We can swap crossbow for dagger.)

OOC: Yeah unfortunately they're going to catch up to us this round, and ranged attacks are at disadvantage if you're within 5 feet of the target. If you (or Bert or anyone) want the bow you're welcome to it, because from here out I'm going to melee. It would be nuts to put the raging dex/con barb in the back rank in a fight like this. We have one job...get punched in our dumb barbarian faces so our party mates don't.

I'd love the knife as long as you're in back; I'll swap out for a second goblet if you move up.

Throwing down with a goblet in one hand and a knife in the other...this feels like a proper barfight...the barbarian is pleased. ;)

After Surana takes her shot, takes the crossbow from her and the case from her bag, and slaps the hilt of the silvered dagger in the palm of her hand...
