IF a PDFs of the 3 core books were leaked, would you:

I'd check spoilers like crazy. And would still be happy about my pre-orders. But I wouldn't download them - because filesharing will automatically help to propagate them, plus broadcasting your IP doing something like that isn't that intelligent. Then I'd tip off WotC by mailing 'The Rouse' or somebody else (depending which e-mail address I find first) about it.

If I could download it without propagating it and shooting my IP out, I could be tempted to take a look at it. But I'd still buy the books and tip off WotC.

It depends on how they were available, I don't do filesharing networks, but if it was a straight forward download. Sure, I'd take gander. I'd still buy the books though, you can't play from a .pdf and I'm not printing out 900 pages!

I've already pre-ordered my set. If I could get a quick, easy preview of the books I already paid for I wouldn't refuse but I never start games with just pdfs. I need something hardcopy before running a game.

If I found out about the pdfs after I already got my physical books, there's no point in them anymore.

I normally don't agree with this sort of thing but in this case, to be completely honest, I WOULD download the pdf and make sure to still buy the books (which are on preorder anyway).

Is it morally shifty? Yes. But I'm to anxious to play 4E to let that stand in my way. But buying the books would also be mandatory for me, at that point, so I can sleep at night. I don't download music but I'd bend that rule for a shot to see 4E now instead of waiting like a crack fiend for every tidbit leaked on the message boards.
