I'd be really surprised if I don't vacation in Australia at some point in the future.

I haven't pre-ordered yet, but if I do, I wouldn't cancel unless I learned 4e was absolute garbage. I'm not sure 4e will be enough to my tastes that I'd want to play it as a weekly game, but I doubt it'll be trash.

I'd download the stuff and skim through it. No way would I read 800 pages on screen or print out any substantial amount from it. This means that I'd not play using those files.

Perhaps I'd make up a 6th pregen character for H1.

I've pre-ordered the books, and nothing, nothing I can imagine right now that is , could make me cancel the order.

Mainly because downloading often involves filesharing, which in turn means you propagate the file to other downloaders. At least that's for me.

Were the option to present itself, I would probably download the PHB, give it a quick read through, and unless complete and utter drek would then go out and buy said PHB to read much more throughly. Wouldn't download the DMG or MM, as I have no intent to purchase those as I've no intent to run D&D anytime in the near future.

I wouldn't download it, but if my friend plopped a printed-out PDF in front of me, you better believe I'm reading it. I, too, have it on pre-order, and just about nothing would make me cancel it. WotC is getting my money, guaranteed. The only reason I wouldn't download it is because I distrust file-sharing programs (I believe, one day, it may actually be possible to receive venereal diseases from LimeWire). When I download, I only download things I can't buy; and when I can buy them later, I do (the last three anime series I purchased I did so solely because I watched fan-subs of them before they were released). I've no moral qualms about that, either.

I'm a big fan and have an enormous respect for the 4E designers and even for Scott Rouse, who often posts here. If the option of downloading it would be presented to me, I'd think "Would the designers or The Rouse think it's ok or it's nice for me to download the leaked PDF? Would they say 'Yeah man, go ahead, just do it' ?"
Maybe I'm just lawful dumb, but I like this way.
