'Course, not many people are silly enough to admit they'll out-right steal it, so it tends to skew the results.

Since I have the books on preorder and will not cancel them (barring a major setback along the lines of "D&D now uses D19s") so I would have no qualms about downloading a leaked early PDF version of the core books.

I would read them and use them to help me build my first 4E campaign so that it's ready to go when Mr. UPS or Mr. FedEx arrives with the shipment of my hardbound books. I might even start that campaign early.

I have to say that it would be extremely tempting to read the full length and breadth of the rules... mainly so that I can get a head start on the (extensive) conversion work I will be doing on my homebrew campaign world. I have the core set, plus an extra 4 PHBs on preorder and nothing is going to change that at this point.

Even if it just for the Monster Manual (for extra-quick referencing), I would still by the books. I would be able to quickly look up things on the computer (and pass it out to friends, if I so chose) and still be able to use the physical product (which will vastly speed up play time compared to games run off computers).

I have digital copies, and copius backups of every book I own. But yes, it IS every book I OWN.

I would download it, check it (but not read cover to cover), but not play. Just because I'm too curious. But I would be gratefull because I would be able to write down all my campaing BEFORE the game's out, so I would be ready to start gaming the day I would get my book! (it's a lot of "I would" isn't it?)

Anyway, I've already pre-ordered my books !
