If animals could talk, which kind would be gamers?

With the rapid advances in genetics, the day is fast approaching when animals of all sorts will be able to read books, buy books with credit cards, type and even be able to roll dice.

Thus, it's inevitable that our children, or perhaps grandchildren, will one day play D&D with talking animals.

The question, though, is which kind of talking animals will be most likely to play D&D?

I think Monkeys are pretty much a given. Dolphins would also play but they would have their own game system adapted to underwater play and using their own language. It would be an elitist's game and humans would not be entirely welcome although PC concerns would force them to at least publically advertise that the game was availible for everyone.

Cats would play just about anything as long as there were lots of dice rolling involved- OTOH, they might just become croupiers.

I could see dogs as gamers...Border Collies, regardless of system, would be the ultimate rules lawyers.
