And wouldn't rogues be a soft, blushy red? ;)
What, exactly, are your rogues doing?*

*PG-13 please.

I'm not feeling blue for fighters. If anything, I tend to associate blue with wizards (because of mana potions in some games being blue, as well as mana bars).

I actually would do silver for fighters, but I'm not sure that'd work with your format. Some other metallic?

Cleric, I'd associate white with if we're taling healing...maybe black if an evil cleric? I think that's the only class with a real dichotomy where I'd change color based upon alignment.

Red's a great color choice for rogue.

But I see your issue with white being washed out. What if you did solid gold for paladins and white with a golden border for priests (so the white was emphasized by the gold, and to prevent it from being washed out?)

Barbarian = Brown, the color of leather armor and bronze.

Bard = Pink, the flamboyant color (Light blue if they're a male maybe?)

Cleric = White, the color of the cloth.

Druid = Green, the color of nature.

Fighter = Silver, the color of steel.

Monk = Dark Brown, the color of the cloak.

Paladin = Gold, the color of the order. (Paladins in our game setting ALWAYS wear gold plated armor, so it might not make as much sense for your setting)

Ranger = Dark Green, the color of the hidden.

Rogue = Black, the color of the night.

Sorcerer = Red, the color of power.

Wizard = Purple, the color of the Twilight Sparkle.

I'd go with:
Barbarian: dark red...scarlet/maroon
Bard: yellow
Cleric: brown
Druid: green
Fighter: gray
Monk: light brown
Paladin: blue
Ranger: dark green...hunter/moss
Rogue: black
Sorcerer: orange
Wizard: red

Barbarian - Crimson. Rage, passion, blood.

Bard - Violet. Luxury, pleasure, civilization.

Cleric - White. Sacrifice, purity, devotion.

Druid - Brown. Earth, indifference, natural life.

Fighter - Red. Boldness, vitality, leadership.

Monk - Gray. Introversion, asceticism, mental strength.

Paladin - Silver. Never tarnishes, valuable, radiant.

Ranger - Green. Hope, camouflage, cycle of life and death.

Rogue - Black. Death, shadow, obscurity.

Sorcerer - Gold. Rarity, greed, power.

Wizard - Blue. Knowledge, discipline, calmness.

Fighter = Red
Barbarian = Orange
Wizard = Blue
Sorcerer = Yellow
Rogue = Black
Cleric = White
Monk = Brown
Paladin = Royal Purple
Druid = Forest Green

The Lords of Waterdeep board game has 4 colors to represent the 4 archtypes: orange for warriors, black for rogues, purple for magic users and white for divine types.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I think we've got all the colors covered ;).
I can't really do metallic colors. I use a laserprinter and while there are CMYK values for silver and gold it's not particularly shiny.

What about iconic images? What would be the single defining image of each class?
