Since I don't have any of the AoW, I go with that. But I hope with the AoW hardcover they organize the NPC's/ monster stats better then in the Shackled City hardcover.

While I voted for the AoW hardcover, I think that we're far more likely to see DC2 first. The Paizo people have said that if we do see the second Adventure Path in a book, it'll be years, due to WotC holdups. Presumably, they'd just be able to get another Compendium out the door faster.

As a long time Dragon subscriber I was unhappy with the choice to put the Lost Dragons in Dragon Compendium instead of the magazine, where they had always appeared. Eventually it was enough for me to buy Dragon Compendium, and I rationalized my decision by thinking that I would find other things in the book to justify its price. There were some interesting things in the book, but I wouldn't buy another volume.

The adventure path doesn't interest me at all.

That's a slightly distorted version of what's been said; they've said it would take a year or more after the WotC holdups, namely the simple fact that WotC needs to greenlight the project for it to happen, are over and done with. And I don't think a Dragon Compendium is any less work; if anything, I would assume it's more, with the amount of conversion that's likely to be needed if there's a significant amount of pre-3E material.

I am currently running Age of Worms. My Dragons get read and put on the shelf, often forgotten. So, I'd get a whole lot more use out of a Dragon Compendium.

I'd prefer a spruced up, errataed Age of Worms, but I'd still buy a DC 2 in a heartbeat. Especially if it was a monster collection, as has been suggested by various people not actually in a position to write and publish it.

Demiurge out.
