If I had enough money to spend on anything other than living at the moment, I'd pay around $50 for the PHB, but probably wait for the other two (at least for a couple hours :p )

The cover price. That's what I'm going to pay for them in June and that's the most I'd ever pay. And even then my GF is going to slap me for spending so much on three books :heh: .

Difficult question.

On the one hand, I don't know if I even want the books. On the other, it means an end to this process, which I'm really not enjoying but can't bring myself to look away from.

I think I'd buy them at cover price, but no more than that. Unless I can peruse them beforehand and make a more informed decision, in which case I would be willing to pay up to $50 per book, assuming I actually wanted them at all.

When 3.0 came out... I went to Mecca... I was at the Con...

My DM and I sat and had a conversation with Jonathan Tweet before we had the slightest clue who he was.

We would have sold our souls for the DMG someone won... or the MM alone.

I just can't work up the same fanatacism about 4.0... it's not as complete a revision as from 2e to 3e either.

I'm still buying it though... still buying it.

Not more than what I would pay when it will be available normally.

I'm really not the type who needs all the latest information before everyone else has it. I'll gladly pay more for luxury editions of games I really like and which seem worthy, but not for getting them ahead of time.

But let's be honest - with the US$, all the prices listed are cheap.

And for the record, Dragonworld is currently offering the 3 core rulebooks for 4E for 20 € each. I already ordered them. (They won't arrive any sooner, though, and in fact I suspect they will even arrive later. But at least I am in the Queue :) )
